The Infinite Detail of This Place and Time

  • Duderstadt Video Studio 2281 Bonisteel Blvd Ann Arbor, MI (map)

The Infinite Detail of this Place & Time is a site-specific improvisation that connects the ecology of the north campus woods with the psychic ecology present in the books within the Duderstadt library. Audience members will be guided on a contemplative craft within the borderlands between ecology, found text and their own emergent creativity. This activity will result in audience generated assemblages that will be projected using a microscope camera at an immersive scale. These projections, and Bridget’s manipulation of them, will serve as a score for improvised sounds by Virago.

This project is supported by ArtsEngine at the University of Michigan.

The A.W.E. Society (Area Wilds Exploration Society) is a platform for the experiential and collaborative eco-art projects of Bridget F. Quinn. A.W.E. Society events invite participants and collaborators to play within the borderlands between the city and nature, between the psyche and the environment. Realms that are not distinct, but instead are completely interwoven.
